Ellington & Riverfront Tower condo auctions

Has anyone seen the ads for these in today's paper...

Min. bid prices certainly aren't bad. Definitely doesn't do any favors for the condos at the Book Caddy, Fort Shelby, etc, etc that these places are being given away. IMO they were overpriced to begin with!

I don't know the new median price for a house in Detroit is $5800 and many many buildings are way less than half their original price. $95k Cheap? You can buy alot there for that price.

Does anyone on this forum plan on attending either auction, and does anyone think that all the units will go for or above the bid price.....just interested on other's thoughts

You can buy a house for $5800 but some people [[a lot of people) have zero interest in fixing anything up. Sounds tempting, but I don't want to spend the rest of my life playing "this old house" and nor do I have the time to.
