I'm looking for information on Elmer Whitney. He was a prominate physician/surgeon in Detroit. Was he related to David Whitney? Any information on this man? Where he lived, worked, etc.?

A Dr. Elmer L. Whitney lived at 7423 Byron in 1928, that adress [[now a parking lot) was directly across the street from Henry Ford Hospital. He was the founder of the Ophthalmology Department at Henry Ford Hospital and served as the department chairman from 1928-1953. Ford Hospital has a large archives department, they would probably be happy to share information with you.

Thank you! That was helpful. I'm interested in researching this topic more. I'll contact the hospital.
