Default New Arcadia book Detroit TV

Found this on the Arcadia site today along with several others than will be coming up soon. [[Hamtramck Then and Now as one example) This is by Ed Golick and Tim Kiska. Should be a good one. http://www.arcadiapublishing.com/mm5...srch_state%3D1

    Congratulations Ed and Tim!

In related news, Images of America - Warren [[Mich.) will be published by Arcadia later this spring. The author is Martha Burczyk and her page proofs are currently in the process of being fact-checked.

I'm looking at the books on the Arcadia site... I have a few already, but didn't realize how many there were! I think I am about to spend too much money.

The Detroit Historical Museum gift shop has that title, along with more Detroit-related Arcadia books than I have ever seen elsewhere.

How much copy will be in the book?
More often than not these tend to be full of photos [[ I like that)
    and not much else.
It would be great to get a comprehensive record
of Detroit TV instead of the gloss overs. I was disappointed in Tim Kiska's
From Soup to Nuts venture. It was a light weight book of
    nostalgia but lacking in substance.
I really enjoyed the Rockin' Down the Dial by David Carson.
That, to me, could be a good example of what a TV companion book
should be. You get the photos but also stories behind the shows,
politics at the stations and a great cast of characters.
