Default Ford full year profit in 2009

Ford said today it earned a profit of $2.7 billion, a stunning improvement over its historic, $14.7-billion loss in 2008, especially for a year that saw industry sales drop to their lowest level since 1982.

Perhaps not so stunning considering the Ford current lineup of vehicles. High quality, high safety, high durability, high mpg, high technology... and fun to drive.

    YAY FORD!

First profit in five years and they did it without using government money. Since Toyota is massively recalling all of their jalopy lemon-mobiles. Lots of Americans can start buying real American made cars, this process will help bring more automotive jobs back to Michigan.

This is great news for Ford and the Detroit-metro area. So long as they continue to make quality vehicles and have good management, they should continue to do well. I am glad to see a domestic manufacturer having such success.

I know employees with spare Ford X-Plan PIN codes if anyone needs one. Save yourself about 10% on top of any other rebates, etc.
