Theater at Forest & Grandy?

In researching the architectural firm Pollmar & Ropes, I stumbled across a 1914 entertainment news bite saying the firm was selected for a 400-seat theater at Forest and Grandy. Of course, all four corners of that intersection are vacant lots these days.
I can't find any record of Pollmar & Ropes doing a theater there. Maybe it was never built? Gistok, any clues?

As far as the Sanborn maps are concerned, it was never built.
Could they have been mistaken? The Perrien theatre was once around the area.

Maybe it never was built. Certainly possible. The Perrien was at Forest and Chene, so definitely close, and opened in 1912 - about the same time. Maybe those who hired Pollmar & Ropes backed off because of the Perrien? The Perrien, by the way, was designed by William "Buck" Stratton, the same guy who did the Brodhead Armory.
