Default Thieves Now Stealing Embalming Fluid

Thieves looking for embalming fluid to enhance their "high." One funeral home has been robbed five times of it.

I hope they are caught and face stiff penalties.

What kind of drugs are they mixing this with, I wonder. Same principle as fentanyl mixing. I can expect more than a few deaths and damaged druggies from this. All for an "enhanced" high? Lovely.

All I can say about that is "let the buyer beware". Nuff said.

Let them steal and consume all the embalming fluid they want. After a couple weeks we won't even have to go after them. They'll take care of themselves. Survival of the fittest... and smartest!

Why do I keep envisioning scenes from "Night of the Living Dead"?

I just now did some research on it.

There seems to be some confusion between formaldehyde and liquid PCP. PCP dissolved in ether is called formaldehyde on the street but it's not the same. A sherm stick [[cigarette/joint) is dipped in the PCP then smoked. Smoking real formaldehyde can cause intoxication but also serious other problems.

Sounds like some really dangerous ideas floating around out there.

Maybe they should increase the concentration of poison in those fluids.

"Don't get mad; get even." ...and create more customers in the process!

I met a mortuary scientist once [[in a very strange place I wish I could tell you) and posed that question to him. He told me its all bunk and the formaldehyde they use produces no high in a pcp sense.

they also call it "wet"...you can dip a blunt into it and smoke it but it looks wet so they just call it smoking "wet"

You've hit upon the classic libertarian argument.

Let the druggies take their drugs if they want. The easier you make it on them the less violent they will be and the more likely they will be to just sit around, take their drugs, and leave the rest of society alone to rebuild the city, run the schools etc.

Personally I see nothing moral in the drug argument itself.
I would rather have somebody's grandma making a little money selling crack out in the open to those who want it than giving that same business to gangs by making it illegal.

The only problem is that you someone tried to make Detroit a "legalized" city [[Something like Amsterdam) the gangs would object to it the most because that would be killing their industry.

Ugh, the idea of that is nauseating... so maybe those who smoke this ghastly "concoction" will themselves need an undertaker and get a direct dose of that stuff parallel on a cold slab!

I only dip my cigs in used formaldehyde myself.

Harvesting is a bit of a chore.

I am saddened to say back in high school [[about 18 years ago) I had a friend that worked in a funeral home and he was stealing it to dip his cigarettes in. Let's just say he was not worth a darn after that. Lost all his scruples and his family had to commit him into a home. To this day he is still there out of his skull and will probably live longer than any of us because he gets nothing but proper meals and no junk. What a sad, sad thing to do, yet live with!

I am a mortician and I can not believe people actually do this. I had to wear a respirator because the stuff is so strong. Good luck to these people!

Back in the 70's, I remember it being called Conebenol [[probably spelled wrong) Yes it mostly was put on joints and yes it got you very high. and yes will mess you up mentally for sure. I'm sure someone will correct me if I am wrong about the name association.
