Between Barbara Rose Collins' tiara and singing outburst, JoAnn Watsons son assaulting his girlfriend, Monica Conyers calling Ken Cockrel Shrek, her rants, her brothers legal problems, including a drunk driving arrest; Martha Reeves gambling and use of city owned cars for limo service, the image that is seen throughout the world of Detroit is deplorable. I certainly hope that the voters in Detroit get rid of these dregs of society at election time and put in some responsible, educated, and most of all...sane council members.

The problem is Detroit goes through this every time with who is elected to the City Council... the way these council members behave and the antics that make the city a laughingstock throughout the country is unbelievable. But you know they will just be elected again because of name recognition... It is truly sad that the voters keep electing these morons..when is it going to stop? When will these voters wake up and realize this City Council is holding back the city of Detroit?

I would be all for a state takeover. The elected officials of Detroit have been a discrace for a generation. Where are all the credible candidates? Race baiters, crooks and bi-polar, power hungry trash seems all we are putting on the council these days. Pray for inspiring, qualified candidates in November.
