"American Virgin"

There is a new movie out on DVD, "American Virgin." My friends and I rented it last night and while the plot is pretty stupid and its another rawnchy teenieboper movie there are some great shots of downtown Detroit in it. In fact the whole second half of the movie is shot in and around Greektown. Lots of shots of the Atheneum Hotel, Monroe Avenue, Lafayette Avenue, Elysium, Old Shileleagh, Deluxe Lounge and other downtown establishments. We rented it because my friend is an extra in the movie. Once again, don't rent it for the plot but if you want to see downtown Detroit at its best, rent it.
