Which Character in Atlas Shrugged are you comparing to? There are many villains to choose from...the collectivists, the second handers, take your pick.
The "heroes". Taggart, Galt, you name it. Seriously, bigger [[[[[[[[[gery hasn't been published.
And all these "heroes" share a trait, common to Rand's ideal man, the child kidnapper and killer. I'd rather be a second hander than one of those cretins.
Galt, by going on strike and encouraging other producers to do likewise in protest of oppressive socialist control is self centered [[a good thing when defending freedom and rights)...I have no idea what you mean by the other crass comment.
Try reading what I told you to read elsewhere, you would comprehend.
Read it, commented on it, disagreed with opinions stated [[giving cause for disagreement) where appropriate...been there, done that...you are losing focus again Stosh.
BTW...not the abortion reference, the [[[[[[[[[ reference is the crass comment that i am referring to.
There is no abortion reference, which tells me that you haven't read it at all. The [[[[[[[[[ reference, is accurate in consideration of their apparent lack of humanity.
A [[[[[[[[[ has what to do with humanity? It is namecalling on your part.
You have not sited anything [[because it does not exist) that attributes murder or kidnapping of a child to Rand...the conclusion that this is the case is pure delusion on your part.
I never said that. It is her lavish praise and admiration of the child murderer which is the abomination.
Name calling? I can call Ayn Rand a [[[[[[[[[ any time I wish to. And I just did again.
And she's also a pompous nincompoop as well.
Satisfied yet? Or should I continue?
ok you two, stop it now. cc - spew your crap somewhere else and stosh, don't let him get to you.
oh and, some people like to hear themselves talk..............batty

Using the term [[[[[[[[[ is expected to be followed up with terms like dweeb or ninny nanny, and isn't that far removed from the popular term do-do head. Seriously, why do you use words that are reminiscent of a stereotypical 1980s/1990s grade school bully?
Now if you'll excuse me, I have to keep trying to avoid The Noid.
Edit: To a more acceptable term:Using the term ~~~~~~~~~ is expected to be followed up with terms like dweeb or ninny nanny, and isn't that far removed from the popular term do-do head. Seriously, why do you use words that are reminiscent of a stereotypical 1980s/1990s grade school bully?

Calling someone a sockdologizing old mantrap is appropriate when the one you are commenting about one IS a sockdologizing old mantrap. And no, it's not equal to the juvenile terms you used. Those are just outright stupid. Try dork, nerd, geek, etc.

the truth -- that he is, in fact, the pagan germanic god odin/wodin/wotan that we worship every midweek, in his guise as the leader of the wild hunt
I tell my kids the truth: Christmas is a lie. A pretty, feel-good lie, but no less a lie for that.
Only at DetroitYes! could a discussion about Santa end with a debate over [[[[[[[[[s. You guys crack me up!
"...he's gonna find out who's naughty or nice..."
Do you say that all fiction is a lie? Why not? There is no need, it is fiction, a story, "lie" brings a negative connotation.
Help! Help! I'm being repressed!

Oh how I love that sketch!
Just the other day I heard a radio segment devoted soley to using that particular censored word over the radio. They were repeating it over and over. I guess they can say it on the radio! They also discussed the most interesting etymology of "dork." LOL
They can say it on CBS as well. Craig Ferguson says it all the time, in the same general manner as I was using it. It's not really name calling, is it? I regard the name calling as in respect to a person. As in "you are a xxx." not in the fashion "Ayn Rand is a xxx" In that respect, calling someone a lib should be banned as well, shouldn't it? It's name calling.Oh how I love that sketch!

Also in regards to calling someone a socialist, communist, whatever. Evidenced by the myriad posts about Obama. Is he a socialist? Communist? Is Ayn Rand a "sockdologizing old mantrap"? Same thing IMHO.

I rechecked this thread looking to find interesting sweet stories and the wisdom of sage adults. Instead I see the silliest thread jacking ever.
You're all a bunch of tildes!
Santa too!
