The AMC Channel's Remake Of The Prisoner Starts Sunday

This is based on one of the most bizarre TV series of the sixties. It was about a spy who had been "extraordinarily renditioned" to a pleasant island prison and mysteriously held against his will. AMC says you can watch the entire 1967 series on their website.

I found the original series fascinating until the final episode which was a total disappointment because it resolved none of the mysteries. This was possibly because Patrick McGoohan just made up the story along the way during production and then ran out of time at the end.

Let's hope they do a better job on the ending this time.

Did you know the original series was filmed in a resort town in Wales and you can stay in the Village? I didn't until I was reading about it recently.
