Sorry to say we will miss it. Will be on the shores of Lake Huron, near Grand Bend. Hope to see photos of the Belle Isle picnic here, though.

Unfortunately, we will miss it again, too. We are taking a small vacation that weekend, as it will be our last chance to relax before the wedding later in the summer. I will make it one of these years [[and hope to make it to Detroit some other time). Good luck with all the preparations!

I'd rather ride in, from parts North, but I'll make it one way or another. I've been here for a year and a half, and I'm ready to meet the folks.

I am going to try really hard to make it again this year. I was upset I couldn't make it last year for the first time.

We've been talking a trip up there when my wife gets her vacation in May. Might be a great date to do the vacation. We will try.

I'm gathering the RSVPs and what those attending are bringing per their response. So pick something and post it. As the date draws near, I'll post a consolidated list of who's bringing what so that gaps in the menu can be filled in.

Thanks to all who have responded so far!!! I think this will be a fun gathering!

Kathleen, I'm bringing an apple cake. Maybe another cake if I have time. ;-)

For the lurkers / newbies - The Picnic is a great way to put faces to [[screen)names.

The first one I went to, I was surprised that so many people I knew posted on the forum!

I'll be there. As we get closer to the date, can a list be published of who is bringing what?
