Default Should Detroit embrace Google Apps to save money ?

Perhaps our own Detroit City Council members should be encouraged to embrace Google Apps in order to also save $5 million in service costs over five years, just as the City of Angels projected. Maybe it would end up being more than that amount, due to the many "sweetheart" deals here around our neck of the woods.

    Please share your thoughts.

Wouldnt city employees have to be re-trained to use Google apps? How much would that cost? How long would it take?
