Construction near WCCC Downtown?

I noticed a lot of construction equipment working in the vacant lot bounded by Fort, Lafayette, 5th and 6th today. This is across from the WCCC Downtown campus and John King books, and also faces the back side of the Greyhound Terminal. Anyone know what they're doing here? Thanks!

Isn't that where they're building the new smart bus station? It was announced a long time ago.

I think it is the new Greyhound Station.

I believe it is the new Michigan Intelligent Transportation System Center [[MITSC). This will house the control center for all the freeway camera and info signs. They are currently housed on the 2nd. floor of the Greyhound bldg. MITSC has run out of space. Greyhound is staying where they are. SMART has 8 years left on their lease in the Buhl Building. Yes, about 4 years ago SMART was going to build there but that deal fell through when the DARTA bill went away due to Engler.
