    That's a very interesting article, giving the main sticking point to progress as different visions of what progress actually means from different factions of diverse populations. [[Summary by me)

    Hmmm. I guess planners need to go back to Maslow and work up from there by population. Maybe it means we are much more likely to get unified demand for mass transit when everyone has enough food, good housing, good schools. Work community wide to establish the basics, then go from there.
