Default Public Garden in Midtown on 2nd and Willis. Looking for Gardeners & Wannabes

There has been a lot of talk about getting a public garden going on these forums. Now is the chance to join up! The lot is on the corner of 2nd and Willis, just down the street from Motor City Brewery and Avalon Bakery. We are now looking for people to participate.

This will be the only allotment style garden in the detroit area, and each member will get a 4' x 8' raised bed to cultivate. It is not necessary you live in the direct vacinity, or that you have any type of gardening skills. Some people are growing flowers, some are growing vegetables, the choice is yours.

It is $25 for a 4' x 8' plot. The deadline for participation is April 14th. Sorry for the short notice, but the decision should be easy! Ive attached a sign up sheet in pdf and doc form, as well as the garden layout. If you are not interested but think you know someone who might be, please pass this along to anyone who might be interested.

South West Corner. The garden consists of 3 lots. I believe UCCA is the owner of 2 of them, and the city owns the third. UCCA has the rights to garden / maintain it.

April 14th [[Tuesday), is the last day for signup. Please tell all your friends in the area, and email Annemarie if you are interested. Her contact info is on the signup sheet.

There is so much talk of public gardens on the board I thought this would have been a hotter topic.
