Hello all, I would like to ask if anyone knows of where I can sign up for Section 8 or if it will open soon and where? Or is anyone interested? I called Detroit Housing Commission and they said its closed, but sometimes other people know of openings.

It's closed. Check with suburban jurisdictions, but, last I heard, Detroit has a closed list.

You could try the state of Michigan. I don't know the status for the state. I used to work in housing and we had city and state section 8 residents.

The city's waiting list was always very long or closed. We took section 8 from folks who got them from suburb city housing agencys. Never turned them down if they came from anywhere else other than Detroit's or the State's.
