Default It Seems Only Yesterday, Iraq Was America's Friend

Wow, such a short time ago, Saddam was our ally, see how Donald Rumsfeild graciously shakes his hand.

Maybe the neo-cons are really our enemies? enemies right beneath our eyes...

"Iran meet Iraq...Iraq meet Iran...you guys all look the same to me... " from the neocon handbook-How to win friends and vanquish enemies.

You can't see that AEI and AIPAC is our guiding partner in foreign and domestic policies for the Muddled East [[at least congress's)..so why are you all so surprised to see the same groups clammering for a fight in Iran..

Likewise Osama Bin Laden, Hitler, Hirohito....Voldermort. Get it, before actions and agendas are known, or even exist, how are unwitting parties to know that a future villain is in their midst.

Why, they have individuals such as yourself of uncommon prescience to guide them, of course.
How else can you possibly know the absolute Ruination and Lamentation into which Obama is inevitably leading us all?

Obama has had a long record of radical socialist revolutionary actions and associations...it is not a matter of preemptive criticism in his case.

throwing labels don't make them real...I guess if you throw enough mud some of it will leave a stain...[[maybe about the amount of socialism that our country already practices)...but you really have to ask you self how/or - do you want our country to evolve or stay in the past?

Past that is focused on extremes in capitalism that is not democratic...filled with silos of special interests, neglect of the poor, and lack of real social justice etc.

Jewish perspective of Social Justice relies on healing a fractured world...the Christian understanding that Life is of Ultimate Value..wouldn't these aspects of faith be better applied to where we should evolve to..not clinging to a Randian/free market economy that always crashes in the long run?

Always crashes? Impossible as it has never existed.

You also seem to have a very weak grasp on what true capitalism is. Read the book "Capitalism, the Unknown Ideal" by the aforementioned Ayn Rand for an education.

You are as visionary as any of the socialists you villify, seeking to establish a Golden Age under a system you admit has never really existed. Utopianism in action, and blind to itself.

Striving for perfection is the road to progress and prosperity while perfection itself is unattainable.

...said every socialist visionary from Marx through Hitler, Mussolini, Lenin, Mao, Fidel, Che, down through and including Osama Bin Laden.

How is your utopian vision any different from theirs?

God, I love that line. Especially when Batts steps in it......

It's not, except for the fact that Bats holds the words of Rand higher than all the others.

Are you quoting from the Bible?

Just a very real concept and unwritten law. Perfection is impossible in anything.

So since perfection is impossible, what we have will serve.

Sophomoric error Elganned....the correct answer is strive for the perfection, not leave things as they are.

Well, that's what the socialists did. So I guess they were right, by your standard?

ANother sophomoric error...Socialism is conceptually the opposite of perfection.

A bald statement of opinion, given as fact. I'd say that was sophomoric, indeed, even "freshmanic" to coin a term. Only first-termers are so utterly convinced that their unsupported utterances are immutable truth.

Whoever tried [[and utterly failed) to teach you logic and/or rhetoric is even now dying of shame; or, if already dead, rolling in his/her grave at a good 2K rpm.

Capitalism is flawed on so many levels. Until we have a system that combines the best of socialism/capitalism, we will continue to struggle along.

Saddam Hussien was America's friend so much that he even donated $700,000 to the Chadeantown Community in Detroit's North Side to build their Community Center that is still standing on the corner of W. 7 Mile Rd. and Charleston St. In fact Mayor Coleman Young gave Saddam Hussien the keys to the City of Detroit. Go check it out. You can't miss it. It's at the north end corner next to the old black church and the letters 'S' and 'H' at each corner does not stand for Saddam Hussien.
