New Lights on Wright Kay Building!?

I really don't know what to make of the new lights on the Wright Kay Building [[ Schwankowsky Temple-of Music) across from Good Girls Go to Paris Crepes in the Oslo Building on Woodward. For those that haven't seen it, it looks sort of like the Motor City Casino does at night, lit up with a flashing rainbow of lights.

Is this permanent?

I'd rather have had someone redevelop it than just slap that stupid schitt on it.

ran into the owner walking out of the back door one day. he said scrappers got in and vandalised a lot, broke windows and took more of the valuable ornamentations and had people coming in to clean it up & fix the windows. But he said he was determined to restore it and had ideas of opening a bar or club there, and renting the upper floors as flats.

There is a new night club on the ground floor called "Vain." It has been open for three weeks. The broken windows have all been replaced.

My friend Torya, who owns Good Girls Go to Paris, said she'd watch those scrappers come in and out, in and out. She's call the cops and they'd never show. Finally, they decided to show up and - whaddya know - caught the guys. If they had shown up the first time, Wright Kay would still be mostly preserved.
