This isn't really in Detroit proper, but it is in an up and coming neighborhood in suburban metroplex. Features plenty of parking, open floor plan, ez access to highways and mid-centruy modern style.

    All offers considered.

You forgot to mention the best feature. Never a wait for a rest room.

The big question: Do stadiums in the Detroit area also sale for less than the price of a car?

The site would be worth much more if the Silverdome weren't there.

The demolition costs are likely quite substantial.

Yes, unfortunately the taxes, maintenance and utilities makes it not a very good deal. Just like a house in the city of Detroit.

The city will have to pay to get rid of it, if they want it to be sold, Just like Tiger Stadium, hudsons, lafayette, Kmart HQ.............. The problems that face Detroit's monoliths are also present in the Burbs.

And did you Arm chair preservationists notice it took $1.5 million a year for upkeep of a vacant stadium.

why are the 'good guys' so afraid to blow stuff up/burn stuff down and the bad guys aren't? cheaper demolition if you do it their way.

Except that in the case of Tiger Stadium, these costs were being covered by a nonprofit...

Reminds me of how someone said Rosedale Park was "tony."
