    Default Nickeolodeon is Dying!

Nickelodeon, the first network for children is losing some appeal for younger kids and teens; producing shows that could be cancelled quickly due to their lack of valid point. Now its getting much worse from many younger viewers that MTV/Viacom execs. had decided to change their orange slime logo into fatty curvy logo; And so did with Nick Jr. Nick at Nite, Nicktoons and and Teenick.

    Here are the new logos:

What's is going on with Nickelodeon? Those execs don't know what they are doing? Oh well I might as well tell my little cousins to change the channel to the Disney Channel. Now that's next kids network with REAL youth programing.

During the election they were playing Obama ad after obama ad, Nickelodeon sponsored. Maybe the government can bail them out and use them as a tool for the next election.

Stop lying. That would be illegal and would be very obvious to the other candidates [[if it was true).

Actaully ejames01, Back in 1946 After the U.S. Government stop chain broadcasting, allowing NBC blue and red networks to split into to just NBC and ABC Television networks, The FCC and Congress granted all American media networks the same rights as the 14th Amendment of the Bill of Rights; to be treated human beings! Therefore the U.S. Government can bailout all American local and national media networks. So it's all LEGAL!

    So what happen to Nickelodeon?

    1. It started out as the Pinwheel network in Columbus OH. in 1979. Starting the rejects from Sesame Street. Providing special educational programming for toddlers.

    2. By 1980 The Pinwheel network change its name to Nickelodeon and became the first children's cable television network. [[ Nick kept Pinwheel T.V. series until 1990) Nick has imported mostly international children shows from England, Japan, Australia, Canada [[ especially You Can't Do That on Television. The first ever children's comedy variety show) and even the Soviet Union. For grown-ups Nick at Nite was broadcast showing classic network programing from Leave it to Beaver and I Love Lucy.

    3. Nickelodeon's logo is described as a silver ball with colorful bubble letters.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5U6WruPm7ho

That logo ran for 1981 to 1983.

    4. The silver ball Nickelodeon logo was replaced by the orange slime logo with many figures fro 1983 to 2009.

    5. By 1990 After MTV/Viacom bought Nickelodeon. The executives decided to build its studio/theme park in Universal Studios, FLA. Nickelodeon can produce its own shows, show kids how Nick show are created and participate in its shows.

    6. Nick JR. was developed for toddlers. It didn't gained popularity until the Dora, the Explorer show came on. Nickelodeon was in its golden age.

    7. By the late 1990s SNICK meaning Satudary Night Nickelodeon showed All That, a children comedy show, The Amanda Show and Kenan and Kel. Nickelodeon developed its movies From Harriet the Spy to the Goodburger.

    8. By the new millenium, Nickelodeon started to lose some appeal when producing new shows. Some of the shows that were on pilot and producing fewer episodes might end up in either cancelled due to its gross content like Zoey 101 and Invader Zim. Also other Nick shows are being on hiatus or younger viewers don't have a interest on the show. Most of the Nick T.V. programming might end up being scrambled or have the show broadcast repeatedly due to its popularity like Spongebob Squarepants. Nickelodeon has produce more cable classic video library networks of Noggin [[ that later split and the 'N' came out.) Nick and Night TV land that later become T.V. Land, Nick GAS; Games and Sports and Nickelodeon 2.

    9. By 2006 Nickelodeon Studios have been closed down due to lack of parent youth patronage. It's seems to me that Nick producers had lost some 'kid' ingenuity of producing new shows or had left to other networks due to 'capture theory' interests like the Disney Company with the synergized production tactics.

    10. Nickelodeon today is definately DYING! New Shows are being produced but ended up either cancelled. iCarly, The Penguins of Madagasar, Brain Test; the game show and Z troop are Nick shows that could possibly end up scrambled or in haitus or maybe cancelled if it lost some valid points to the viewers. There are repeats of Spongebob Squarepants every day more boring leftovers like Johnny Neutron; Boy Genius, The Fairly Oddparents and Ned's Classified School Guide. By September of 2009 The MTV/Viacom execs decided to get rid the orange slime logo and replace it orange fatter curvy letters that dubbed BORING!

For far is I know lots of young and older viewers want the old classic Nickelodeon back rather than new dull Nickelodeon.

    WORD FROM THE STREET PROPHET.

Those rejects from Sesame Street really got those shows going!

    Good question.

If I had to venture a guess, I'd say a combination of the internet and people dropping their cable to make ends meet due to the economy [[been there, done that myself).

"Cable" is not the right designation, these are production, broadcast, and programming companies. Disney is doing well in this arena, at the expense of its' competitors...no big mystery.
