Default In your opinion whats the WORST Part of Town, including Highland Park.

Based on Crime, Foreclosed and/or Abandoned Homes and Businesses, General Services, and the people who occupy it.

Example - To me Brightmoor, Warrendale and/or any area around City Airport i.e. French Rd. Area. Conner and Mack Area., 75% of eastside is abandoned..Go Check it Out.

    All in decline.
    Basically all War zones.
    All Need Drastic Help
Just thank Coleman Young or Any other Government Official

I'd like to hear Others Opinions too please...thank you

We bring this up over and over again, so let me be the first to say: Be more specific.

    Toughest?

    Most abandoned?

    Most burned-out?

My opinion is that this type of thread has been done to death. Search the archives and you'll find 10 versions asking the same thing.

    The WORST Section.

Some It Up, I'm not defining it by toughest or anything. IN YOUR OPINION, Whats the worst part of Detroit. Based on your Thoughts and What you've Experienced.

    Dexter-Davison is the toughest, IMHO.

Like jt1 said, search the archive. This has been done to death, and I'm not sure what the point is anyway. Just drive around and see for yourself. Or, if that scares you, do some Google Streetviewing and look at the city crime view maps.

And while Coleman Young may not have helped the situation, he certainly didn't cause it, or any other government official, unless you think they have control over the economy.

Oh, and for my own contribution: the area directly west of St. Cyril. It doesn't have a lot of crime though, since it no longer has any houses.

The area bounded by Hayes on the east, I-94 on the south, Van Dyke on the west, and State Fair on the north. High crime, very dangerous.

I'd have to say Robinwood Street, between Woodward and John R. Can't really be described, needs to be seen in person.

That's debatable. I pick the area formerly known as Poletown.
On a unrelated note, why are you captalizing random words?

I don't think Warrendale belongs on the list.

In my opinion, any area that isn't given the basic services, security and educational opportunities that a resident should expect to receive.

I'd have to say the area bounded by Jefferson, Woodward, Larned, and Randolph.

But did the other threads bring up Coleman Young in the first post?

    Plus there's this:
Based on Crime, Foreclosed and/or Abandoned Homes and Businesses, General Services, and the people who occupy it.

Maybe Wyandotte. Definitely something downriver. To some it up, that area is horrible.

Nuke this place already...and make it a true tourist attraction...
Then if you stand at ground Zero we can rid ourselves of one more undesireable in the process...If you don't want to be here then leave... P.S. Ronald Reagan and the Republican agenda has closed our factories not Coleman Young.. Oh yeah I forgot
