Default The Vincent Chin murder remembered, 43 years ago next week.

That was 43 years ago and became a major story covered nationally. A lot has changed in Detroit..the whites moved out, the population has shrunk, the Big 3 auto makers left, etc. but the city has made real progress in improving it’s image and it’s quality of life. Unfortunately, some things haven’t changed. Now it’s the Bangladeshis in Hamtramck who seem to be the target..I hope I’m wrong.

There were no MAGA prototypes in the 1980s, just some two out of work Jimmy Carter Supporters from Chrysler that killed Vincent Chin. According to XYZ News, Vincent Chin and his friends are having their happy hour at a Highland Park Bar on the corner of Woodward Ave. and Glendale St. to celebrate Chin's new job promotion when two out of work former Chrysler employees bother Chin and his friends and left. After Chin walks out from the bar two former Chrysler employees came from behind and one of them pull out a gun, killed him and run off.

The killing of Vincent Chin was the last draw for Detroit's Chinatown, So the Chins, Chungs and Moy families who are related pack up and left someplace else. The last to go was Chung's Cantonese Restaurant in 1990.
