A fire raced through a century-old church on Detroit's side overnight. Detroit firefighters moved as fast as they could to save as much history at St. Agnes Church as they could.

Sad. Drove by there yesterday. Yes, badly burnt. These structors have sat abandoned for the last twenty+ years I think. Ten for sure.

Sad to see this. Our family priest, whom I was named after, was the pastor here for several decades.

From the video: "The body still stands now but the rectory was a total loss." I take that to mean that the most important parts of the architecture are still intact. One can always hope.
