It's been a while since I posted anything but along with the announcement that a $250-million housing and commercial development slated for the corner of Janette and Riverside Dr. will go ahead shortly, this is a great piece of news. I would like to see this attraction as well as show my love for Canada more often than I do, but the $9 one way crossing kind of disincentives casual visits. Now there is not even a $10 tunnel bus. Perhaps DOT could pick up that line as it's buses run half empty most of the time anyway. Will pedestrians and bicyclists have to pay an onerous toll on the Gordie Howe I wonder?

How many pedestrians are going to want to walk from that far downriver after crossing? It would only make sense if you had someone to drop you off and pick you up.
