    Default Apartment help Downton needed

    Hello Guy's

I'm looking to make the move from the suburbs to Downtown. I need help. With so many new apartments coming online and conversions in process I hope to get some good advice on where else I should look. I want a view of the city and not the river. I've viewed a couple in Capital Park area. But the views didn't have the views over the park or downtown that were available. I have an appointment to view Broderick Tower [[ Not opposed to views of Comerica) next Friday 3/27. I have a monthly budget of $3000.00 including parking. I prefer to be downtown opposed to Brush Park or Midtown. I was thinking to view Merchants Row as well. I need direction. Apartments.com isn't as helpful as this board with Esperance. I would be ok with a 1 bedroom but prefer 2. Can anyone recommend a nice skyline view apartment that would be kid and pet friendly? I could go to 3500.00 if needed. But I want to be close to dog park and the rail. Thanks in advance. Also I have two to three months.

Book Tower has the best views, and is probably the nicest building overall, for downtown apartments. It can be tough to get into but well worth it.

I would think the Stott would have good views. They have several 2 bed. floorplans between 2500-3000. A leasing agent at Bedrock should be able to give you prices, pros/cons, etc. for all of their buildings.

Consider Renaissance City Club Apartments, formerly Millender Center Apartments. I had an apartment there in the mid-teens. One of the big appeals was that it has its own People Mover station. It conveniently has a walkway tube connecting it to Renaissance Center. Not sure how appealing that still is with its uncertainties, but it will get you across Jefferson nicely at a minimum if you're going to the Riverwalk. It also has a tube to City Hall, but only workers there are admitted from it. Parking on the lower floors is available.

Apply for a westside apartment to get splendid views of Campus Martius, Hart Plaza, downtown, and Windsor. If you want Belle Isle and a quieter view, try the Eastside. It has a decent ground floor convenience store, rooftop lounge, swimming pool, and work-out gym too. The floors and walls are solid concrete, so you rarely hear any neighbor sounds.

This pano gives an idea of the full extent of a westside view, from a piece of RenCen to the dome of the Old County Building.

I stayed in the Hotel portion of the building a few months ago and loved it. This one was definitely on my list to tour. What a beautiful job they did restoring the building.

Another that was on my list to tour. Great location with great views. I think timing is always going to be key with city views. They have 1 unit 1000 sqft two bedroom available.
