    Default Detroit Towers

Inside an Abandoned Detroit Luxury Waterfront Condo
Today we walk through an abandoned Detroit luxury waterfront condo that sits right between Indian Village and The Gold Coast. This unit needs a bit of time and money put into it, but would make a great investment for anyone willing to put in the work. Hope you enjoy!

Just to be clear, the Detroit Towers itself is far from abandoned. Even this unit, which has a troubled history as you can see of a renovation that stalled out, is not actually abandoned and is owned and heated, etc. Members of my family lived in the Towers [[which is really only 1 tower) for many years. It is a beautiful, and quite expensive, building to live in, with a full time staff.

The spiel here is actually pretty clueless about the building, its history, its structure, and its current status. Also, it is 18 stories tall, not 26.

I have also been fascinated by this building. My friend's grandmother lived there during the 60s. There are only two units on each floor so it not surprising that the HOAs are so high to maintain the staff and the building. I looked a what I'm sure was another vacant unit a few months ago in which work also stopped mid renovation. It seemed in better shape than the one in this video. I would like to see something done with the Whittier riverfront building with smaller units and smaller HOA.
