The appeal of Mexican Village

PRESERVATION is the publication of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. This is a non-profit and non-governmental organization encouraging the preservation of historic sites throughout the country including historic neighborhoods in cities.

The Fall 2024 issue of PRESERVATION has a very fine essay - with pictures - of the revival and prosperity of Detroit's Mexican Village. The describe the local businesses very positively and stress that the Mexican Village grocery stores sell real and very appealing Mexican food products that cannot be purchased in this ares. It is an interesting and very favorable essay.
