    Ride a train to celebrate Halloween

    Celebrate Halloween with the Michigan Transit Museum, Sunday October 20 and Sunday October 27.

    Bring the kids/grandkids/nephews/nieces/... in their Halloween costumes and take a ride on our historic train. Trick-Or-Treat candy given out after the ride [lasts about 40 minutes].

    Details at http://www.michigantransitmuseum.com. Select "TRAIN FARES & SCHEDULE" on the menu for times and to buy tickets online, or show up at Joy Park on Joy Blvd. in Mt. Clemens for available walk-up tickets - they can sell out fast.

    In addition to the normally scheduled trips, there will be extra 12:00 PM and 5:00 PM trips on the Trick-Or-Treat trains.

    After the train ride, visit the historic 1859 Grand Trunk depot on Cass Ave. at Grand Ave. in Mt. Clemens, where Thomas Edison once worked. Hear the interesting story of how he got his job there. See the Michigan railroad and Detroit street railway memorabilia on display.
