    Default River Rouge Power Plant

Here's a neat video of The Proper People exploring the River Rouge power plant, that had the boiler explosion in 1999.

Linked is an interview with one of the survivors. I've read they've started tearing the plant down recently.

Very cool! Though 'ruins of Detroit' sorts of things aren't the current positive story, as a designer [[machines and plants), I love stuff like this and could spend hours imagining it in its heyday, yet also find a special beauty as it is.
    Thanks for the post!

They call themselves The Proper People for a reason. They recorded this video last year, and waited for demolition to start to release it. This video is probably the last visual record of the plant before it's demolition.

Well, I ain't so proper. Still nice to see, and I get the many reasons why these things need to go, yet they're still something amazing to see. Thanks for sharing the video!
