    Default East Jefferson Construction

What is going on? In three separate places East Jefferson is down to one lane in each direction without a left turn lane, meaning if someone has to make a left turn, the entire single lane of traffic comes to a standstill until a space going in the other direction opens up and the turn can be made.
Additionally, there is similar construction on Kercheval, Vernor, Charlevoix and Mack Ave., so your parallel alternatives are very limited. I have been taking I-94 to either the Chrysler or the Lodge to get to and from downtown.

I'm also seeing some surprising road construction inconveniences elsewhere.

I suspect they're accelerating construction to complete it before winter sets in.

Annoying, yes, but it beats the alternative winter road disintegration.

Infrastructure upgrades. They shouldn't allow left turns through the construction zone, but everyone is very self-important these days.

Well at least we see actual construction persons 'working', equipment turned on and not just the orange cones and barrels!
