Today, the dedicated and courageous nurses of Corewell East carried three banker boxes filled with union recognition cards to the National Labor Relations Board [[NLRB), filing the necessary paperwork to secure their right to vote for Teamster representation. This filing represents an essential step in their journey to gain recognition and a voice in their workplace, under the protection and oversight of the NLRB.

It's not a new thing. American industrialists began recruiting European scabs at least 150 years ago. If your grandparents came through Ellis Island, they probably were used as industrial scabs.

Culture war issues are designed to divide the working class, so it continues to screw itself. Agreed, the deck is stacked against wage workers who deserve a new deal that includes immigration reform.

Who determines what is fair?

I have seen non skilled workers upset because they cannot afford to buy a new house,so instead of adjusting their skill levels where they can earn more money,they want to be paid DR wages.

They have a fair shake,they were born in a country where the only limits on earning potential are ones placed by the individual.

The claim that a company should pay more because they can afford it is the socialist conditioning while expecting the companies to take all the risk and then share the rewards simply because an employee exists?

In theory it does not matter because all the business has to do is adjust the price of the end product to compensate for the wage increase so it’s the consumer that pays until it no longer becomes feasible to operate the business,so they shut it down,then no wage trumps more wages.

The average salary for an RN is $44 per hour that’s already 50% more than the average workers salary in the U.S….

I have a friend that works at a casino,she is 30 now,took the easiest job she could out of high school that requires little work or responsibility,she has passed up every promotion she was offered.

She has a Instagram thingy were she posts videos of how she is living in an RV and life is so unfair because she should be getting paid more and how screwed up things are.

3 kids,deadbeat husband,driving a brand new car,making sure the viewers see her new Apple Watch and phone and it is societies fault.

Watched a espose on tv about a lawyer in Cuba,she was hooking at night because she wanted to buy materials to remodel her government supplied apartment.

We live in the land of opportunity where people have options that are not available in a majority of the rest of the world,people choose not to take advantage of that but expect as a right to be entitled to them.

I dislike even the word Corewell. Beaumont was a better name.

Corewell sounds like a sports stadium built with tax money.
