    Default Stewart McMillin, Detroit History Buff and Tour Guide

    Some of you may have run into Stewart McMillin around town as you attended a tour or a talk, or maybe you took one of his tours or attended a talk.

    Stewart passed away on July 29, 2024 at the age of 85.

    A retired high school history teacher, Stewart was known for his Detroit tours and his Underground Railroad bus tours. He was also interested in the Negro League baseball players like Turkey Stearns. He loved to travel and to share history with anyone who would listen!

    It is always tough losing a friend. Please accept my condolences Kathleen, Stewart was the Friend Palmer of our day.
