Same thing was said about the Commanders. While Goff is a good QB, he's a statue. The blueprint for the position is dual threat QB's such as Daniels, Mahomes, Jackson, Allen, Nix, etc.. They can stand in the pocket, or if they need to, they can run for yardage. Having invested heavy in Goff, he's not going anywhere soon. They will have some tough decisions to make going forward in-regards to personnel [[coordinators) and roster change over. Next year's schedule is also much tougher. They lucked out vs Minnesota, but the lack of defense finally caught up with them. And if we want to be truthful, they weren't going to advance to the SB and beat the better teams.
I wonder if Goff was still suffering from the mild concussion after receiving that cheap uncalled headshot from defense which caused him to throw interceptions
The only sucessful dual-threat quarterback that the Lions had in the past 50 years was Eric Hipple whom had taken Gary Danielson place after Danielson had gotten injured. Hipple was ahead of his time. The Lions should get a 2nd string rookie Quarterback who have scrambling run and gun capabilities who could relieve Goff at time. I really think that Goff was still feeling the effects of that cheap shot to the headWhile Goff is a good QB, he's a statue. The Lions number two backup QB, Hendon Hooker has legs and can run. I'm not how highly the Lions feel about him though...The only sucessful dual-threat quarterback that the Lions had in the past 50 years was Eric Hipple whom had taken Gary Danielson place after Danielson had gotten injured. Lol....successful? Apparently, you don't remember a guy named John Madden, who made the statement, "If you claim to have two #1 quarterbacks, you actually don't have any". Neither quarterback had an NFL arm, and only a rudderless franchise would let either lead an offense for long. The only sucessful dual-threat quarterback that the Lions had in the past 50 years was Eric Hipple whom had taken Gary Danielson place after Danielson had gotten injured. Hooker ain't it. If he was, he would have been put into that game instead of Bridgewater, who was literally coaching high school football before the Lions picked him up for nothing at the end of the season.
Backup QB is a position the Lions definitely need to upgrade this offseason.
