    Bring your bike or come as a spectator to be immersed in the M1 Cycling Classic, hosted at M1 Concourse in Pontiac in conjunction with Cadieux Bicycle Club! This is a multi-lap criterium format race on our 1.5-mile closed track, providing excitement throughout the day. The schedule covers a kids course, amateur races for all skill levels and concludes with elite races for men and women. There will also be FONDO, family fun rides and mountain biking on off-road course.     Uncle Sam Jam

    This free family fun festival returns with live performances, a carnival midway with over 30 amusement rides, a petting zoo, a classic car show, Shell-Camino Monster Truck rides, fireworks and more.

    The entertainment lineup will include Simple Queen, Hinder, Fuel, Queensryche, Lynch Mob and Vinny Appice's Sabbath Knights, along with local and regional acts. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs.

    A fireworks show is scheduled for Friday night, and a new drone show will take place on Saturday at 10 p.m.

    Festival hours are 4 p.m.-11 p.m. Thursday; 4 p.m.-midnight Friday; noon-midnight Saturday; and noon-11 p.m. Sunday at Civic Center Park in Woodhaven. Free offsite parking and shuttles will be available at Kohl's, 20840 West Road.


    Art In The Park

    Join over 400 artists from 31 states as they line the streets of downtown Plymouth to showcase their fine art. The festival will also feature live entertainment, art demonstrations, professional hula hoop dancers, a “human statue,” magician George Tait, a variety of food options and more.

    Participate in a hands-on kids mural, and watch chalk artists create a large “Toy Story”-themed masterpiece. Additionally, a “living mural” will transform models' bodies into a painted canvas.

    Enjoy live music performances by Roots Vibrations, Greektownhotbox, and Cary Kocher.

    Event hours are 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday. Shuttles will run continuously from Schoolcraft College in Livonia, with a shuttle fee of $6. Kids under 12 ride free.


    63rd Wyandotte Street Fair

    Stroll through historic downtown Wyandotte and visit nearly 250 fine artists and crafters; more than 30 food vendors and restaurants; street performers; and a children's art area.

    The fair will run 10 a.m.-9 p.m. daily through Saturday in downtown Wyandotte.

    Annual Lavender Festival

    Immerse yourself in the tranquil fields of lavender at this festival, now expanded to two weekends. Stroll an open-air market that will feature more than 200 Michigan artisans. Enjoy DIY workshops, educational sessions on aromatherapy, gardening, and natural wellness, and a children's activity tent with animal shows, face painting, crafts and more.

    Indulge in lavender-infused treats such as lavender ice cream, donuts, and cupcakes, as well as Blake's Hard Cider and Blake's Brewing Co.'s limited edition lavender-infused hard cider and beer.

    Admission includes entry to Funland and a train ride to and from the lavender fields.

    Festival hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and July 1921 at Blake's Orchard and Cider Mill at 17985 Armada Center Road in Armada. General admission is $12 on Fridays and $14 on Saturdays and Sundays. Children two and younger are free.
