I have been to St. Joseph's Oktoberfest before. The food and beer are excellent. The chorale concert is pretty good also.

This year they are Oktoberfest-ing for two days, Sept. 26 and 27.

Is this the same beer fest they had in one of the sheds last year at Easter Market?

St. Joseph's, mother of all German Catholic Churches in the Detroit Archdiocese, worth a visit all by itself to see this beautiful, well maintained building in the heart of the D.

Sue , that might have been Trinity Lutheran, on Gratiot near St. Joseph.

St. Joseph's Oktoberfest is I believe only a few years old and the crowds are not big enough yet to use a Market shed. I went last year and it was Sunday only and on the St. Joseph church grounds after church.

Trinity Lutheran has two Okbtoberfests, a black-tie charity fundraiser fest plus a traditional oompah-band-in-tent fest that is affordable. Trinity has been having Oktoberfests as long as I can recall.
