It's official the transformation of W. Vernor Commercial District will get a boost. La Joya Gardens Apts. And Shopping Center will be built on 4000 W. Vernor Rd. in SW Detroit. The building will contain about 50 affordable housing units and retail shops. Proposed completion by 2024.
