    Default A topsy-turvy world?

After a couple of trying weeks, the term topsy-turvy came to mind

    Not very descriptive.

If you mean socialism over capitalism in America, yes that is very topsy turvy...needs to be corrected.

If you mean policies that force the poor to get poorer to make the rich richer, yes--very topsy turvy indeed.

You're right, CC. More socialism, less capitalism would be a nice correction.

I thought the left believed that the right has been doing what you described for as long as they have existed [[they haven't, but...). How can that be topsy turvy if it is the pattern for ages?

They've been trying to do that for as long as they have existed, and done it very thoroughly depending on the era--Tsarist Russia comes to mind as an immediate example.

However, since FDR the liberals have been successful in fending off the predations of the "haves" and seeing that the "have nots" get a little more. That changed under Reagan, and the current mess is the direct result.

So we need to correct the "trickle down" myopia which has reversed the enlightened trend begun by the New Deal and is now shepherding us rapidly back into the Outer Darkness.

Not what I meant at all, but I understand your confusion, Babelfish still doesn't translate Standard English into Batsonian.
