    You're most welcome, Kathleen.

And in case anyone is suspicious of that surveymonkey.com link, it came from this DNR webpage: Belle Isle Multimodal Mobility Study.

Did the city sell off the old Washington Blvd. trolley's? If they didn't, it would be cool to have a line of tracks going around the island with all of the old Trolley cars running on it. Staying with the old early 20th century feel of the island... and providing a way around the island for pedestrians.

They could have buses coming in from the mainland.

I believe they were sold to Mexico.

A better idea, IMHO, would be to run those trolleys or modern streetcars in the CENTER of Jefferson from downtown to the MacArthur Bridge, looping around the island, and coming back downtown via Jefferson.

The bridge was originally built with streetcar tracks, so running the streetcars on the bridge and into the island would fulfill the bridge's original vision.

Although 2,159 feet of double streetcar trackage was built into the roadway along the east side of the bridge, streetcar service to the island was never implemented....
