Default 28-storey tower planned for downtown Windsor

I don't know if this news item belongs here because at this point it looks like wishful thinking to me. This isn't the first time a tower was proposed for this vacant lot by Farhi. Farhi Holdings to build 28-storey riverfront apartment tower [[msn.com)

If constructed it probably will be completed within two years. Developers in Windsor don't have to deal with the crap that Developers in Detroit have to deal with

Developers in Windsor have put up with eve more red tape than their counterparts across the river. Anyone remember when the Daley group in Chicago was told to get lost because they wanted to develop the Western anchor, now a money-losing "aquatic theme park" into a family-oriented attraction? Or when developers were told that land on the north side of Riverside drive could only be used for parkland?

Yeah, screw cities for not just bending over at the whim of developers. We know these companies will look out for the best interest of the city and its residents.

Surprised this is an apartment tower and not condos. That's pretty rare anywhere in Ontario.

Windsor is trying to be like Toronto.
