And she teaches in a community college. I feel sorry for her students being cheated out of an education :[[

this person is horrifying. she's priming the far right for witch trials with that demon possession language. and as clearly evidenced in her rhetoric here, we queer folks are right in their sights next to abortion rights. i hope benson wrecks her at the polls and that it's not even close.

The Election Denier Who Could Run Michigan’s Elections
In the weeks after the 2020 election, one particular Michigan woman was trumpeting claims of fraud as loudly as she could. Kristina Karamo, a community-college professor who’d previously accused Democrats of having a “satanic agenda,” went on Fox News again and again to describe how illegal ballots supposedly had been tallied for Joe Biden at the TCF Center in Detroit, where she worked as a poll watcher. She testified before the State Senate that sacks of votes inexplicably had been dropped off there in the middle of Election Night. She suggested that Dominion Voting software had flipped Trump votes to Biden votes statewide.

None of what Karamo described actually happened—as far as anyone has been able to confirm. Her story served its purpose, though: Karamo has spent the past year campaigning to be Michigan’s next secretary of state. Some people might have dismissed her, at first, as just another down-ballot conspiracy kook with no chance of winning her party’s primary. But last month, the Michigan Republican Party chose Karamo as its nominee. Barring any changes at an upcoming convention in August, and with Republicans poised to have a strong midterm election year, Karamo has a shot at victory in November.

Michigan’s next election chief, in other words, might be one of its foremost election-conspiracy theorists....

Haven't you noticed most republicans are? Look no further than Marjorie-Taylor-Greene. She's as loopy as they come.

George Will wasn't. And he renounced his membership in the GOP. So maybe it's an attrition of sanity.

^SO you found two that you think are as almost as loony as the average Democrat politician?

You're aware of Pres Biden right?

And his pic for VP based on skin color and genitalia Kamala Harris?

And how they appointed every failed leftist lunatic to important positions, like Budigede, Granholm, Yellen, Mayorkas, ? Then they can't figure out why transportation, the boarder and inflation are all a disaster?

And let's not get started on governors and mayors, like Whittmer, Cuomo, Newsome, Ralph Northam, and Lori Lightfoot, or Senators and Congresspeople like AOC, Maxine Watters, Mazia Horino, Corey Booker, Debbie Shultz, Rashida Talib, Hakeem Jeffries, Bernie Sanders, Nancy Pelosi, Ilhan Omar, etc, etc. Or Michigan's current AG?

The list for the left would take pages.

Here is the difference. You are equating policies that don't align with yours as crazy while ignoring conspiracy theorists and whackjobs in your own party as if they are the same thing. Then again, there isn't a conspiracy theory you don't espouse to so I can see why any comment on a moron in your party would trigger you.

Biden is an example of why you don't elect people in their 70's to the presidency. Same with Trump. Only difference is Biden can actually have a conversation about policy while stumbling over his words. Trump can only talk about crowd sizes while sounding like someone with an IQ of 60. Probably relatable for you, must be why you like him so much.

re: Biden’s pick of Kamala Harris based on
Skin color, female genitalia. I’m tempted to add: ex-district attorney for San Francisco, Ex-attorney general of California, and Senator for California. He scraped the bottom of the barrel, we’re almost on the same page. Except for the skin color and the gender. Lol

Setting aside the 'anything's better than trump' justifies-all-factors indeed we've a mess and with these choices long-standing dems are shedding the party and not necessarily going GOP as the easy-peasy narrative would hold.

I am concerned that the middle [which actually represents most Americans - against the grand portrayal of the LEFT vs GOP box] cannot hold this ship afloat much longer at the state level [Michigan] or national. I say this NOT endorsing the SOS Karamo woman running. We have additional problems!

Can you even imagine what we look like abroad. It IS not a good look.

I totally agree with you. But I think that despite our problems here in the USA and globally... respect for America is better than it was in the recent past. World leaders, and the people, especially Europeans, have a much better respect for America [but with the fear than things could get bad again]... just look at the contempt in the faces of world leaders before...

^ you did not know the one sitting on her right was assassinated last night?

Funny how the world leaders that you claim to not like him,are crapping their pants right now under the threat of bombs raining down on them and WW3 ,when if they had listened to him back then they would not be living in fear today.

The look of contempt as you put it is more like a look of what the F*** are we even doing here, because nothing was resolved and sworn enemies were invited to attend, you are really going to invite China and Iran to sit down at the table and discuss climate change and trade.

The only thing Iran wants from us is to trade nuclear weapons,as much as it hurts you,Trump was the most powerful person there in that seating.

Lol at taking a snapshot of a moment in time and translate it into world policy or perception,of course then again context is a foreign concept when it comes to narrative. He’s still your daddy and you could be very well be calling him Mr President again, let that sink in for a moment.

You and Richard both; PLEASE refrain from quoting Southen.

When you do, all those of us who have him on our ignore list end up seeing his hate and lie filled posts.

They are all the same squad, you would have to block them all, their level of support points or back pats is based on who can come up with the most insanity.

I do not agree with their slant or views but I have to agree with they have the same right to voice them as I do,it’s a waste of time trying to cancel them out like they try and do with opposing views because it just becomes a game of gopher control, you eliminate one and 3 more pop up in their place.

Detroit has been a hotbed for commies, socialists and progressives sense the 1920s,cannot expect it to change now, they are always going to try and be relevant in their own minds.

Its what they do and live for, they are just not representative of the city as a whole because we know there are still plenty of rational normal people there.

The disgust you expressed for Biden’s choice of an unaccomplished "colored female" for VP was part of a love filled-post, yes, I concur. You have my full support.

Geeze Rocket Man... the Newbie who has only been here 1 year, and is telling other old timers what to do... Southen has been around for over a dozen years, and has always been a thoughtful contributor... whereas... you start your silly wingnut posts with "most people say..." That would be funny if only it were true. So before you call others liars... I gotta say your posts are really stretching the truth much more than most people on this forum. And it's funny that other people quoting Southen irritates you... thanks for the tip!
