    Default Fitzgeral neighborhood upates?

A great deal of planning and money have flowed into this neighborhood in an attempt to turn it around. There have been very few real-estate listings on MLS. Is it working?

DetorDetroit did a great breakdown a while back: https://detourdetroiter.com/fitzgera...oject-detroit/

The plan to develop 100 homes has been abandoned. It was far too ambitious for the under experienced developer group. The new strategy is to sell off side lots and assist community members and partners who are interested in building up the community. Dan Gilbert still pairs with the landbank to deep reno the occasional home and the overall market for homes in the neighborhood remains fairly tight relative to comparable neighborhoods.

I wouldn't go so far as to call the program a total failure. The city repaved all the roads, built a new park and greenway, UofM built a brand new k-20 school they will run, McNichols got a serious make over, all the allyways have been cleaned and side walks replaced, and some 230 abandoned homes have been torn down.

If every neighborhood in Detroit got this treatment, we would be looking at a very different Detroit.
