Default 6 Detroit Radio Stations moving into Eastern Market

Deadline Detroit is sharing a Crain's Detroit Business story....

"iHeartMedia Inc. is relocating its six local radio stations from Farmington Hills to Eastern Market, into a still-being-renovated building in the heart of the commercial food district."

Apparently you didn't hear that the kind of retirement you are talking about can't be accomplished. He's been dead for 30 years...

They laid off [[or relocated them out of state) most of their local on-air talent.

So why not! Won't have to worry about long commutes!

What nonsense are you blabbering about?? Crains is reporting that all their on-air talent and staff are moving to eastern market.

Oh-my! I would imagine many of those on that media item have passed on.

I recall this station in my early days of talk-radio. Martha Jean the Queen was a household name in the D. She had a fantastic intro every broadcast... saluting Detroit's blue collar works. I'll try to find it on youtube, etc.

To me, this move into Eastern Market is a win-win for all. The radio station staff are in the city! More business for local businesses!! And maybe there will be a synergy between the stations and the market through their presence at current events and maybe some new events.

Probably referring to this. It was actually 8 on-air people. Not sure how many they have in total.

    Also this:

I can't find the article, but Kim James [[who sadly recently passed from COVID) and Foody were also let go from Mix 92.3

And of course, Frankie Darcell's show is now actually simulcast out of Philadelphia.

At Mix 9.23 specifically, I'm pretty sure the only local DJs left are Gerald McBride [[who only host a weekly show Saturday evening), Bushman [[who also only hosts a weekend show) and Cheron [[and I'm willing to bet a lot of her stuff is pre-recorded). Everything else is syndicated or simulcast.

Ok, so what does this have to do with anything? Their currently employed staff and talent are all moving to Eastern Market. Which they'll obviously be commuting to from wherever they live. Also that was a national layoff.

This is just illogical troll clownery.
