    Not to mention he doesn't have to show up until after his kid graduates in June. Why not what they do for everyone else: lock him up now and give him a day pass for the graduation?

    Exactly... he would have 1/4 of his jail time out of the way by then.

    from the WXYZ story referenced earlier "Federal prosecutors wanted to see Spivey do jail time and were hoping judge Victoria Roberts would sentence him to 3 years"
    So, could have got 3 yrs, instead got 2 yrs... not a awfully big reduction in sentence. Bottom line is at least he'll do some time.
