The Motown Winter Blast may be hitting north of 8 Mile Rd. To Downtown Royal Oak in 2022.

What a liar, I knew as soon as this guy started complaining about not having enough money he was looking for an scapegoat for his eventual run to the burbs. Glad to see Rocket apparently dropped him like a hot potato though.

Typical old boomer, stuck in the same mindset people like him had when the Lions and Pistons left the city.

This is possibly the beginning of the end for events bring held in downtown Detroit. First rhe Autoshow canceling for a second year at a time when it was finally going to happen during g the summer and now the Winter Blast is moving to the burbs. This is probably a result of a power Olay in Detroit. Someone probably wanted to take control of it with opposition so it's moving north of the border. Have to wonder why the Dream Cruise never came South of 8 mile

the 'neighborhood chatter' I'm hearing so far concludes that city leadership "gave" the Winter Blast away; though the full truth of course is far deeper than that... but the city of Detroit government never "owned" it.. so many of these events are actually driven by [corporate] sponsorship.

There have been some Dream Cruise events South of 8 Mile. I think most or all these were well attended.
