Thread: Rumble at LCA

    Default Rumble at LCA

Isiah Stewart just wouldn't back down. I think the Pistons fans may have found a new favorite. I'm sure anything that puts some asses in the seats works for management.

LeBron is not a dirty player, but that was very dirty. They were losing by double digits and he lost composure during a physical box out. He should be suspended for 2-3 games. Hard to blame Stewart for that reaction. But he needs to be suspended for a couple games too.

Stewart suspended two games and LeBron one. They'll both be eligible in the rematch on Sunday, but I'm sure LeBron will find a way to take the day off.

Well they are playing in a hockey arena after all.

I was there. Sitting in the mezzanine behind that basket. What a weird night at the basketball game. There was a tussle after a free throw that seemed to suddenly get way out of hand, and a somewhat rusty and clearly frustrated Lebron lashed out. Next thing you know a blood-spraying Stewart is rampaging across the court, and again, and again, while everyone else tries to hold him back. Lots of fans who came to see Lebron were very angry and booing when he got thrown out, but it was clearly the right call.

Too bad about blowing that 15 point lead though, with both the very poor shot selection and the total inability to defend A.D. and Westbrook down the stretch.

Lebron James is a "Like Mike" superstar player. And will do anything to play like a champion. Having him elbow Isaiah Stewart in near the eye is a sure sign that professional basketball is just a one man show grabbing the ball from the paint.

Pistons aren’t drawing very well at LCA either, like 2nd to last in the league this year. Of course the fact that they suck probably has a lot to do with it.

The "new" NBA is using a smaller, quicker line-up and draining 3's. That works fine if you're sinking them but when you're last in the league in 3 point shooting and have nobody to rebound it doesn't go well. On the defensive side when you can't block anybody down low teams can score at will inside or kick it out for wide open 3's. It was never going to be a one year rebuild but they can't even stay competitive into the 4th quarter this year. The fact we've sucked for so many years makes it seem like the rebuild started years ago. Better hope the ping pong balls bounce our way again this year.
