Default Detroit Voters OK Launching Reparations Commission

So what’s gonna happen with this? I saw this in the Detroit News “The group will recommend housing and economic development programs that address historical discrimination against the Black community in Detroit, according to the ballot language.” Now it looks like that’s not what the people want. Groups like the National Coalition of Blacks for Reparations in America and National African American Reparations Commission have said this “That’s a good step for the city to take, but let’s be clear: This is a housing voucher program, not reparations — and calling it that does more harm than good.” I don’t see any way that this ballet proposal will make anyone happy.

Broke black voters in a broke black city voted to launch a Reparations Commission. Good luck with that.

Their guidelines on reparations is based on,a person taken into slavery would have accumulated X amount of wealth in the last 200 years and that is the number.

Not taking into account what generational wealth may or may not have occurred.

Millions lost generational wealth during the depression alone, does that mean we are entitled to those funds lost by previous generations?

While slavery in itself was horrible enough,so has the on going wars and tribal wars in Africa that has eliminated generations of Africans to the point where there is little lineage to even trace, unlike in this country where there are many who can trace their roots back 200 years.
