Motown museum plaza renderings released

It seems excessive to rip up the front lawn, changing too much of the historic character. I'm fine with adding stuff in the back, but the front shouldn't be messed with too much. The singers used to hang out on the lawn:

Right now it's just a patch of grass surrounded by a 6' chain link fence, so any improvement is good.

I like everything about this project as it deserves to be a world class tourist destination.

But I will miss the front lawn. I think the fact that it was literally just an every day house was part of the appeal. This changes that narrative a little bit. That being said, it is a small price to pay for the attention the site will get.

The fence was just recently installed for the renovations.
