    Default Visiting in August

I'm coming home in August, and with family. I want to stay downtown, and have been trying to figure the best hotel to stay in, to accommodate a family of 5. Do you all have any suggestions? Does the Book Caddy have 2 room suites?

Try the Greektown Casino Hotel. That's a convenient spot for nightlife and things to do, eat, drink, etc.

The Marriott in the Ren Cen is also walking distance to Greektown and the Riverfront.

The Book Cadillac is handy to the business district in Downtown, if that's what you want.

Thank you, it's good to be back. I couldn't remember my password lol. I feel ashamed for even posting this thread, but then again, I never had to get a hotel in Detroit, especially with kids.

I'm not too sure the Greektown Casino is a good choice, especially if you have young children. A lot of brawls going on around there. There's a reason why DPD is stepping up patrols in that area. My sister was recently caught up in one trying to get out of a wedding reception.

We always stayed at the Marriott Courtyard on Jefferson across from the Ren Cen. Very nice property and much easier to navigate.
