The last time I was in Detroit 3 years ago there was a new building where the 5th Precinct once stood. Where is the current location of the 5th.

Rough area. I don't think this is the first time that precinct has had trouble. A major shoot out went down there a few years back.

On Conner near Mack. Used to be Jefferson/St Jean years ago.

Conner near Mack, that is. The former Jefferson/St. Jean site is now home to a federal immigration service center.

Exactly. That's what I was thinking. Thanks for clarifying EA.

I meant Conner; I think I auto correct to Conant. Thanks

Thought that was at the new-ish #2 off Plymouth?

There was a shootout that took place at the west side 6th
precinct on Plymouth Road several years ago [[PTSD video
    attached here - shows this)

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qG6JwoxIdko

There's two different camera views in the video. It looks
as though the disgruntled gunman jumps over the desk
to take closer shots at the police sheltering there.

The entrance to this station faces south and a winter sun
is shining on the floor in the left hand camera view.

EDIT - more backstory about the shooting.

The shooter was apparently upset that his brother
was being convicted to up to 60 years in an auto repair
    shop murder case.

I'm sitting here thinking to myself "Since when did Conant intersect with Mack!?"

Since I apparently remapped that side of the city. Sorry
