What's going on at the corner of State Fair Grounds?

What's going on at the corner of Gateway Plaza [[State Fairgrounds)? I see new construction progressing rapidly at the SE Corner of 8 Mile & Woodward around the Hoover Electric business [[I guess they didn't want to sell). Does anyone know?

Are you sure? It looks pretty large and out of place for an Auto Zone. There’s already an O’Rielys 2 blocks west on the Ferndale side and another AutoZone is right across Livernois before Kroger. That seems like a weird fit for it. Also the land on the SW corner is listed for sale but I don’t see much land for a large development unless Stanley’s next door is also acquired. Just my opinion.
